MTX 75 gearbox. 2.01 US qt. 1.67 UK qt. 1.9 L. Transmission oil: WSD-M2C200-C. Manual transmission oil replacement for your 2005 Ford Focus Hatchback can be done on your driveway. The whole job will take about 30 – 60 minutes and will save you around $100. There are two plugs on the transmission - the drain plug at the bottom, and the refill
Going by the Ford manual (ESD-M2C 186-A), I found this stuff which appears to be correct (will need 3 bottles of it), anyone know if this stuff should be ok/any experience with it ? Comma Gear Oil MT75 1L Car is a 2001 1.6 Focus Ghia 51 Reg. Also would like to know if there is anything else I should know before doing it, that would be great .

5 days ago · Oh right, so the drive shafts seal directly into the box - i.e. remove drive shaft - oil drops. That's good enough! I don't believe anything is 'filled for life'. Presumably there is a magnet in the gearbox to catch 'bits of cog' but I'm not convinced the oil has a life that long.
For 2004 Focus Sedan First generation (MK1) Ford recommends to use: WSD-M2C200-C transmission oils. To select the right transmission oil see the table below. How much transmission oil you need to put into 2004 Focus Sedan depends on the engine installed, and some other conditions listed below.
Hi, I'm not the best a tool names. The center of the drain plug requires a six-sided male hex key based on your definition. FYI, I just returned from AutoZone, where I tried out a 14mm hex key (too small) and a 17mm key (too large). So it seems I've narrowed it down to either a 15 or 16mm (neither of which they had).
Engine Oil – While Ford recommends servicing a Mk1 Focus RS every 20,000 km (12,500 miles), you should swap out the old oil every 6,500 – 8,000 km (4,000 – 5,000 miles). While modern synthetic oils can last a long time, you need to be careful of vehicles that have not had regular oil changes.
The exact oil capacity of the gearbox does not seem to be listed with the only information given being to fill the box in 250Ml increments. I would measure the drained oil to ensure you are near to the correct amount. The Ford part number for the oil is WSS-M2C936-A, the oil is around £12 per Litre. Hope that answers some questions.
